Riverbend Park, located at 9060 Indiantown Road in Jupiter, Florida, is a 680-acre natural preserve that offers a tranquil escape into Old Florida. Managed by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, the park features nearly 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, 7 miles of equestrian trails, and 5 miles of canoeing and kayaking trails along the Loxahatchee River, Florida’s first National Wild and Scenic River . Visitors can explore diverse ecosystems, including cypress swamps, wetlands, and pine forests, and encounter wildlife such as armadillos, white-tailed deer, and various bird species . The park also holds historical significance, being the site of the 1838 Battle of the Loxahatchee during the Second Seminole War, and features a preserved battlefield and a Florida Cracker farmstead that offers a glimpse into 19th-century pioneer life . Amenities include picnic areas with grills, restrooms, and canoe/kayak rentals through the Jupiter Outdoor Center . Open daily from sunrise to sunset, Riverbend Park provides a serene setting for outdoor recreation and historical exploration.
