The Worth Avenue Clock Tower in Palm Beach, Florida, stands as a striking symbol of the town's elegance and rich history. Erected in 2010 as part of a $15.8 million renovation of the iconic Worth Avenue shopping district, this 25-foot-tall structure marks the eastern entrance to the avenue, where it meets the Atlantic Ocean . Designed in the Mediterranean Revival style reminiscent of architect Addison Mizner's influence on Palm Beach, the tower features a coquina stone façade and arched openings that echo the area's architectural heritage . The clock tower also serves as a monument to the former Palm Beach Pier, originally constructed in 1925 by Danish immigrant Peter Gustav Jordahn, affectionately known as "Captain Gus." The pier was a beloved attraction until its destruction by hurricanes led to its demolition in 1969 .
